chronicling a life driven by wanderlust
Built in the 9th century during the reign of the Syailendra Dynasty, the Buddhist Borobudur Temple is designed in the Gupta style reflecting India’s influence on Java and this region of Indonesia. It is purported to be the largest Buddhist temple in the world but it seems just to be well preserved and majestic more than actually the largest. Climbing it at sunrise is the thing to do as a tourist or pilgrim. (Taken with Instagram at Candi Borobudur (Borobudur Temple))
